Scholarship Program
Guidelines
A scholarship
fund has been established by the Southeast Community
Business Association to help an area student enrolled or
enrolling in a degree program of study, pay the cost of
tuition. The scholarship amount will be determined by
available funds in the budget, but it is recommended
that the scholarship award be a minimum of $500. Funds
received from the 50/50 ticket sales at the monthly
meetings shall be directed to the scholarship fund. This
is a one-time award per student. The check will be paid
directly to the educational institution.
Eligibility
To be eligible
for the scholarship, the applicant must meet these
requirements:
• Accepted or
enrolled in a degree program of study
• A resident of the Southeast
Community
• Have a GPA (Grade Point Average) equal to or greater
than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Criteria
for Applicants
Complete an
application form.
Applications are
due yearly by April 15 in order to be considered.
Applicants must
be sponsored and recommended by a member of Southeast
Community Business Association. A letter of
recommendation from the SECBA member must be included
with the application.
If a graduating
senior from high school or currently enrolled in
college, provide an official copy of high school or
college transcript to verify GPA.
If enrolling or
currently enrolled in a degree program of study, provide
documentation of enrollment and description of program
and courses.
